Cowles Clinic is the home of two internal medicine practices, Cowles Clinic Internal Medicine and Oconee Medical Arts. Each offers advanced and complete primary care to the patients of the Lake Oconee region. These board certified physicians work in concert with all Cowles Clinic campus specialists to provide a multi-disciplinary, team approach to care.
Our patients enjoy a “whole person” approach to health care. Understanding a patient's lifestyle and medical concerns allows our physician, Dr. Janet Griffin, to work with the patient in managing his or her health and incorporating disease prevention into everyday life. Internal medicine manages common and complex illnesses of adolescents, adults and the elderly; from wellness visits to diagnosing hypertension, diabetes, hyperlipidemia and heart disease as well as issues concerning the kidney, joint, digestive, respiratory and vascular systems. Dr. Griffin works with the patient and Cowles Clinic sub-specialists to manage health concerns.
